Accumetra has been working closely with the Radiological Society of North America’s (RSNA) Quantitative Imaging Biomarker Alliance (QIBA) committees to improve our understanding of the performance levels of current medical imaging scanners and quantitative imaging software. Accumetra has provided technical leadership and support for the guidance provided in the developing QIBA Lung Nodule Profile.
To assist users of the QIBA Lung Nodule Profile, Accumetra has developed a QIBA Lung Nodule Profile calculator. This web-based calculator allows clinicians and engineers to enter CT lung nodule volume measurements observed at two time points and provides guidance and statistics on the measurement error associated with volume change measurements. This is useful in determining how much lung nodule volume change is necessary to exceed the error present in current day CT scanners and measurement software. Accumetra will continue to improve these tools as technology and methods improve.
